Between August 28 and September 2, a research shed for TMA Global Wind Energy Systems was entered and among the items stolen was an Alienware brand laptop computer.

WEEK OF 10/23/09 THROUGH 10/30/09

The Laramie County Sheriffs' Office is seeking information related to an Auto Burglary that occurred at 415 South Greeley Highway. Between the evening hours of October 15, and the early morning hours of October 17, a Ford Explorer located at Cheyenne Auto Sales 415 South Greeley Highway was entered and the interior stripped, among the items taken were two heated Eddy Bauer limited edition front seats.

The Laramie County Sheriffs' Office is seeking information related to a burglary that occurred in 1900 block of Avenue C. Between the afternoon of September 12, and 1:00 p.m. September 16, storage unit number 6 of the Extra Closet 1902 Avenue C was burglarized. Among the items stolen were a Kenmore stackable washer and dryer, and a Sony 48” big screen television.

The Laramie County Sheriffs' Office is seeking information related to a burglary that occurred in 400 block of County Road 138. Between August 9, and August 13, a residence in 400 block of County Road 138 was burglarized. Among the items stolen was a Benelli 12 gauge shotgun and a 2000 "Fairest of the Fair" saddle and leather gear.

The Laramie County Sheriffs' Office is seeking information related to vandalism that occurred in West Winds Mobile Home Park and on Pine and Neil Avenues in Orchard Valley. During the evening hours of August 15, and the morning hours of August 16, the windows of several trailers in West Winds Mobile Home Park were broken out, and numerous cars were "keyed" along Pine and Neil Avenues in Orchard Valley.

During the early morning hours of July 10, a white male described as approximately 50 years old, 6'2” with brown hair brandished a firearm shooting the victim in the left hand.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday June 13th, an individual removed a 37" LG LCD Integrated HDTV Tuner and Speakers, from the Student Lounge in the Campus Community Center Building of Laramie County Community College.

WEEK OF 06/26/09 THROUGH 07/03/09

The Laramie County Sheriffs' Office is seeking information related to an early morning robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank 3600 East Pershing Avenue. At approximately 0700 Friday, June 19th an individual entered the Wells Fargo Bank and demanded money. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or light skinned black male approximately 6 foot to 6'2” tall wearing blue jeans, a dark blue hoodie, sun glasses, and dark gloves. The individual may also have a moustache and pock marked face.

Between 2:30 and 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, unknown suspect(s) entered the school located at 4816 Monroe in Carpenter, and removed a gray colored "Fire King" safe with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Laramie County Sheriffs' Office is seeking information related to an armed robbery that occurred at the T.A. Truck Stop. At approximately 10:25 p.m. April 23, a clerk at the T.A. Truck service center was held up. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 6" and 6"2" medium build, wearing a black "hoodie" with a silver colored "graffiti" looking emblem on the right upper chest area.

Silent Witness Crime Stoppers

The Silent Witness Crime Stoppers program combines the efforts of a private organization operated by volunteers with those of city and county law enforcement agencies to solve crimes in Cheyenne.The program was begun in Cheyenne in 1982 after a police staff officer learned of the Crime Stoppers program in Albuquerque. This program pays rewards to citizens whose anonymous tips assist law enforcement in solving area crimes.Originally 100 businesses, organizations and individuals contributed funds to start Silent Witness of Cheyenne, Inc. Many continue to do so today; without private donations Silent Witness could not operate, since no public monies are provided.The local board is composed of twenty members representing business, government, education and the news media in addition to law enforcement. The board is responsible for fund raising and paying rewards as well as serving as a liaison between law enforcement and the community. The board has the backing of various civic organizations.Silent Witness Crime Stoppers serves the community as a whole by enabling crimes to be solved which might not otherwise be solved without the information provided to law enforcement by private citizens. The community benefits through the return of stolen property as well as by the arrest and incarceration of burglars, drug dealers and other criminals. Additionally, citizens are encouraged to be aware of possible illegal activities in their neighborhoods.Silent Witness Crime Stoppers is a deterrent to crime in Cheyenne, making the city a better place in which to live. It also encourages citizens to be aware of possible illegal activities, and provides a way for individuals to assist in solving crimes without having their names known.Many crimes have been solved from information provided by concerned individuals. Recovery of stolen property, arrests of burglars, drug dealers and other criminals are a direct result of information provided by private citizens.Silent Witness Crime Stoppers is YOU!!
