Please call (307) 633-4512 to request inspections with your permit number, address, type of inspections being requested, whom to contact and a phone number for us to call if we have questions. It is important to have all of this information when calling for your inspection. Currently we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for inspections. We are a small department and have alot of ground to cover, so "early bird gets the worm" when calling. Plan ahead, Plan ahead, Plan ahead!
We make every effort to respond to your inspection in a timely manner. In order to assist in keeping the inspectors arriving promptly, be ready and make sure that you have your approved construction documents on site and be ready for your inspection. Each time that we are called to a job site that is not prepared for inspection we charge $50.00.
You are required to have an inspection within the first 180 days from the time that the permit is issued in order to keep your permit active. Your permit will expire 1 year from the issue date.
An extension may be requested if the work is not complete within the year providing that there is a good reason and that you can show consistent progress. This request must be received in writing and approved by the Chief Building Official. You are not allowed to occupy the space or move in any personal items until you have the Certificate of Occupancy. |
