The function of the Building Department staff is to ensure that all structures are built according to the adopted codes and resolutions, providing safe and healthy & working environments for the people of Laramie County.

New Permit Requirement: Please note the following permit requirement for all projects*…The landowner signature is now required as part of the application process. This requirement may be met by one of the following: either the owner may sign the permit application or the owner may write a letter giving consent (it may be mailed, emailed or faxed to our office)

*Exception: Permits for manufactured homes going into an established mobile home park and counter permits for small plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical projects do not need the landowner signature.

  Please be aware that our office will close at noon on Wednesday, July 28th in appreciation of Cheyenne Days.  We will also be closed on Monday, August 2nd for the Archer Governmental Complex Ground Breaking Event.  Inspections will not be available during these times as well.
