Biography
Family: The Ketcham family pioneered Laramie County in 1867.
Spouse - Barb teaches Family and Consumer Science at Central High School and serves as Communication/Information Officer in the Wyoming Air National Guard. Jeff's son, Jess, is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and currently is an assistant UCCC Examiner for the Wyoming State Department of Audit in the Banking Division. Daughter-in-law Kelly, teaches 5th grade at Henderson Elementary School. Grandson, Jace Ketcham, was born on December 30, 2007.
Education: Graduate of East High School and the University of Wyoming.
Occupation: Chairman of the Laramie County Board of Commissioners. Runs a yearling cattle operation in Laramie County.
Experience: Jeff has 25 years experience as your County Commissioner. In this role he and his counterparts oversee 10 County departments; cooperate with many government agencies and elected officials; manage the County budget; and contribute to various County Boards, committees, and civic/professional organizations. He has served as chairman for nine years and vice-chairman for 11 years. Jeff has 31 years experience as an Agriculture and Science teacher before retiring in 2006. In addition he served 24 1/2 years in the Wyoming Air National Guard before retiring, and also runs a yearling cattle operation in Laramie County. He is a lifetime member of the community, graduate of the University of Wyoming, serves on the board of the ARC, member of the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Cowgirls of the West, Retired Teachers and a lifetime member of the Future Farmers of America Alumni Association.
