Brenda's Bio

Brenda Arnold is a Cheyenne native. She began working in the Assessor’s office in 1988 and was elected Assessor in January 1995. Ms. Arnold is a Certified Wyoming Property Tax Appraiser and is accredited by the International Association of Assessing Officers. She is past President of the Wyoming County Assessors Association and the Wyoming Association of County Officers. During 2010 she was appointed to represent Wyoming on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Counties. She is the legislative chair for the Assessors Association.

Ms. Arnold is dedicated to the development and expanded use of GIS in all aspects of government. She was instrumental in the creation of the Cheyenne – Laramie County Cooperative GIS partnership and is as a member of the GIS Executive committee. Ms Arnold serves at the pleasure of the Governor on the statewide GIS Oversight committee.

Ms Arnold serves on the Board of Directors for Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union, and is on the Board of Directors for Grace for 2 brothers, a suicide awareness and prevention organization. She is a member of the Cheyenne Rotary Club and Greater Cheyenne Area Chamber of Commerce.

She has two children and three grandchildren.
