The Things to Do
EH January 2018 summary:
We had three rabid skunks in Cheyenne / Laramie County during the month which brings our rabid animal number to 3 so far this year. We have had some domestic animal contacts but no human contacts to date. This is a much earlier start for Rabies or is a carryover do to the mild weather at the end of 2017.
2017 Wyoming Pesticide Discharge Elimination System annual report prepared for delivery by end of February 2018. West Nile Virus program end of year report was received and approved by State Agriculture. A PDF version was sent to Board of Health, Mayor, City Council and County Commissioners. Laramie County did not have a positive human or animal case in 2017.
The property conveyance program remains strong. Commercial septic permit applications remain steady for both oil wells and new development.
We have seen an increase in questions regarding the recently approved changes to the food code. Many are looking for training opportunities to meet the new requirements. Several new coffee shops are open. Additional new food operations are in the planning stages with several recently closed facilities looking to be reopened by new operators.
We are working on a new CLCHD Annual Report format.
The statistical form for monthly numbers is attached.
