EH April 2018 summary:
EH manned a booth at the Ice and Events Center Home and Garden show. Attendance was down but we were available for information on Public Health issues and programs.
2018 West Nile Virus Emergency Insect Management Grant committee meeting met and grant approved with a reduction in funds.
Both property conveyance and septic programs remain strong with a slight uptick in commercial septic permit applications. Several new developments are opening up.
Two EH specialists recently completed Pool Operator Certification training.
Six CLCHD staff were trained in driving the Mobile Response Unit through a cone course set up at the Archer complex and all participants performed well.
More plans have been coming in for future food service establishments. Indications are that the economy is moving in a healthy direction.
A new oil and gas pipeline will be passing through the Eastern third of Laramie County which will bring more jobs and improve sales tax numbers.
The statistical form for monthly numbers is attached.
HOME LOAN / SEPTIC PROGRAM:
New loan inspections evaluated were five (05).
Pre-Existing Loan inspections evaluated were twenty-one (21), a decrease in loans of twelve (12) as compared to the same time frame in 2017.
Residential septic permits issued were seven (07).
Commercial septic permits issued were five (05).
Repair septic permits issued were three (03), an increase of six (06) as compared to the same time frame in 2017.
Septic inspections were fifteen (15), an increase of one (01) as compared to the same time frame in 2017.
Plats, Subdivisions, Zone Changes and Variances Reviews:
Staff reviewed thirteen (13) Cheyenne and Laramie County Site Plans.
FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM:

Food Service Inspections:
Food Service Regular Inspections: 40 Total inspections were 149.
Itinerant (temporary) food service permits issued: 150. Issued for the year: 28.
Day Care Inspections: 13.
School Food Service Inspections: 15.
Bed & Breakfast Inspections: 2.
COMMUNICABLE DISEASE INVESTIGATION:
Staff investigated (01) communicable disease reported cases.
Staff inspected three (03) swimming pools, spas, or similar installations in April.
Staff inspected (0) campground facilities in the month of April.
MASSAGE & BODY ART:
Staff inspected one (01) body art establishment for the month of April. No (0) new body artist was licensed in the month of April. Â
Approximately (73) water samples were drawn for April. (63) were satisfactory. (10) were unsatisfactory.
No human cases of WNV reported to date.
Six (06) firework stands inspected for this month.
